On November 3, 2011 our husband and father was promoted to Heavenly glory at 9:55 pm. We are thankful that his suffering is over and that he is now in the presence of our Father in Heaven.
We would like to express our condolences to the family, may the Lord surround you all with His unfailing mercies and abounding hope. Francine and Kornelis Kolstein.
Your family has been in our thoughts and prayers, and will continue to be so as you go through these next few days in preparation for sowing Piet's body. May God continue to show his love and grace as He has been doing and so carry you through these days and the ones of adjustment following. May He continue to comfort you with the knowledge that Piet has now entered into a glorious eternity where there is no more sorrow, sin or pain. Dick and Martha De Gelder
Our condolences to all of you, who mourn the passing of someone who meant so much to you. We thank the Lord, and "praise God from whom all blessings flow" that He has blessed Uncle Pete with a Heavenly home, and relief from all suffering. Indeed he is now singing his praises at the throne of God!! Thinking of you all as you lay him to rest. Derek and Cindy Terpsma
Our prayers continue for each of you as you being your beloved husband, father and grandfather to his earthly resting place. We praise Him with you, for relief from suffering and above all, the assurance of faith in His promises. Great is Thy Faithfulness. Brian and Joyce Hendricks
Prayers continue to rise to the throne of heaven for Rita and the family, that the Lord sustain you in the days, weeks and months ahead as you prepare to sew his body in hope and then continue down the path set before you without Pieter. May you feel the loving arms of your God and Saviour around you as you all complete these necessary tasks. May He uplift you to sing His glory in your time of sorrow. And may we all look forward with eager longing to the day which He has planned for us to go to our own eternal reward, to join the Lord and all our loved ones. "...we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope...For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him...Therefore encourage one another with these words." 1 Thess 4:13-18
Dear Family, My heartfelt condolences to you all. Throughout his life it was very clear that Pieter was not only passionate about his immediate family, but also about those who belonged to the body of Christ. Moreover, he was a visionary, who tirelessly used his talents to promote and strengthen the church of his Lord. May the Father of lights comfort you as you come to grips with the empty place he leaves behind. Jane deGlint
